Carolyn V. Cavecche
Carolyn V. Cavecche (* 1960 ) is a former US local politician and mayor of Orange , California .
Cavecche grew up in Orange County and studied microbiology at California State University, Long Beach ( Bachelor of Science ). She has lived in Orange with her husband Rick since the 1980s. She served on the Public Library Board of Trustees for seven years .
In June 2001, Cavecche came to Orange City Council. Re-elected in November 2002, she was deputy mayor from 2003 to 2006. After winning the 2006 election, Cavecche took over the mayor's office, in which she was confirmed in 2008 and 2010. Her third term lasted until November 2012, and she decided not to run again for election. Cavecche's successor was Teresa Smith .
