Chris Carpenter (sound engineer)

Chris Carpenter (* before 1979) is an American sound engineer .

Life

Carpenter began his career in 1979 with the musical film Roller Boogie by Mark L. Lester , and since then has been to more than 100 film projects, including Hollywood - blockbusters like Kevin - Home Alone involved. Mostly he worked as a mixer sound engineer. In 1994 he was nominated for the first Oscar in the category Best Sound for Geronimo - Eine Legende . A second nomination came in 1997 for Independence Day . For this film he was also nominated for the BAFTA Film Award in the Best Sound category. He received his last nomination for an Oscar in 2000 for The Mummy .
