Claudia Skopal (born February 3, 1978 in Vienna ) is an Austrian writer and actress .

Claudia Skopal is the cousin of Christian Weinhapl, the longstanding managing director of Wienerberger Austria.
She is married and has two kids.
Life
Claudia Skopal was born in 1978 as Claudia Natascha Weinhapl in Vienna. Her mother and grandmother painted and exhibited their works on a small scale. Claudia Skopal took an early interest in the theater and writing texts. In her childhood she wrote short stories, ballads and small plays which she performed with family and friends. During her school days she played in the English school theater group, including in Shakespeare's Midsummer Night 's Dream .
After graduating from high school , she attended drama school from which she graduated with distinction. At the Pygmalion Theater Vienna she played, among others, Lena from Leonce and Lena and Turandot from the play of the same name by Friedrich Schiller . At the same time, she studied theater, film and media studies and English at the University of Vienna . On a scholarship , she flew to Australia, where she lived at the Women's College of Sydney University . In her dissertation she dealt with the topics of identity and role models, especially in Australian society and film. She completed her studies with a doctorate.
Between 2004 and 2007 she worked as a curatorial assistant at the Wien Museum . Then as a television editor for Die Barbara Karlich Show and Barbara Stöckl .
Claudia Skopal received her literary training in the Langschlag writing workshops with Gustav Ernst and Robert Schindel . In 2012/13 she graduated from the Leondingen Academy for Literature.
Since 2002 she has been working as a freelance writer , mainly in the field of children's and youth literature. Her books have been published by Gondrom Verlag, Ueberreuter and G & G Verlag. Some of them have been translated into Chinese.
Her debut novel Pisces in the Moon was published under the pseudonym Natascha Fox in 2017 .
Claudia Skopal is a member of the IG Authors and Authors and is represented by the Michael Gaeb Berlin literary agency.
