Cliff Curtis
Cliff Curtis (born July 27, 1968 in Rotorua ) is a New Zealand actor .
Life
Curtis received his acting training at the New Zealand Drama School and at the Scuola Teatro Dimitri in Switzerland. In 1993 he got his first role in Das Piano with Holly Hunter and Harvey Keitel .
In the same year the film Desperate Remedies followed , for which he was awarded the New Zealand Film and TV Award . Curtis received this award twice in 2000 for Jubilee and in 2003 for Whale Rider .
Hollywood became aware of him through his success at home. There Curtis mainly plays characters with Latin American or Arabic origins. From 2009 he was seen in a leading role in the American television series Trauma . From 2015 to 2017, Curtis starred in the horror series Fear the Walking Dead , a spin-off from The Walking Dead .
On May 10, 2017, it was announced that Curtis would play a leading role in the planned sequels to Avatar .
