Das Omen is a joint album by the German rappers MC Basstard and Kaisa . It was released on April 6, 2007 via Distributionz , Horrorkore Entertainment and Hell Raisa Records . The distribution took place through Soulfood Music Distribution GmbH .
background
The two rappers had the idea for a joint album a long time before Das Omen was created . However, implementation was delayed due to time problems. Kaisa and Basstard eventually selected the instrumentals for the album, which took two months to complete. The rappers then recorded the pieces in the Hirntot Studio . The recordings lasted three months.

production
Basstard, DJ Korx, Masska Beats, Woroc , Buaka, FAK, Syndikate Beats, Balkan Beatz, Undercover Molotov, Flash Gordon, Blokkmonsta and Crizdova were responsible for the production of the album . Basstard himself produced the introductory piece It Begins . DJ Korx contributed the melodies to The Omen and Es . Masska Beats produced the song Kino Tag , Woroc the pieces Kein Alibi and Schwarzer Markt , Buaka the song Angst vor Geistern and FAK the songs Legal Illegal Scheissegal , Von Then bis Now and What is to come . In addition, Syndikate Beats was responsible for Day of the Demons , Balkan Beatz for Kämpf and Undercover Molotov for Scream , Säge , The Last Judgment and Der Imperator . The melody for Dragon Venom was contributed by Flash Gordon. Blokkmonsta also produced the song Monster and Crizdova the piece Take My Hand . After the recordings in the Hirntot Studio, the mixing took place in Studio 4 Berlin. The last step of production, the so-called mastering , was also carried out there by Matthias Millhoff.

Both the layout and the design of the cover were made by Kaisa and Bobby.
marketing
Following the release of the album, Basstard and Kaisa completed a joint tour under the title "End with Funny Tour 2007". This began on April 13th and ended after eight concerts on May 12th 2007. The tour was organized by OP-TEC Entertainment and RocX Entertainment. When accompanied by the rapper Skinny Al and the group were 4.9.0. Cemetery chiller represented.

Copyright infringement
Due to a copyright dispute, Das Omen had to be taken off the market four months after its publication. The rights holders of the horror film series Das Omen had accused the rappers of copyright infringement because of the use of the title Das Omen . On May 30, 2008 the album was re-released under the new title 666 (with a different track list).
indexing
At the end of 2010, the Federal Testing Office for Media Harmful to Young People decided to index both the album Das Omen and the re-release 666 . As of November 30, 2010, the publication may no longer be advertised and sold to minors.
