David M. Ronne

David M. Ronne (born April 23, 1943 in Chicago , Illinois , † January 23, 2007 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American sound engineer .

Life

Ronne began his career in television in 1965. Until the early 1970s, he mainly worked on documentaries and television specials produced for television. From the early 1980s he was involved in numerous large Hollywood productions, but continued to work occasionally on television productions. For this he was nominated four times for a Primetime Emmy between 1977 and 1994 . Between 1982 and 1986, Ronne was nominated three times for the Oscar in the category Best Sound : 1982 for At the Golden Lake , 1985 for People on the River and 1986 for Silverado . However, he couldn't win any of the prizes.

Ronne died in 2007 at the age of 63, three films he worked on were released posthumously .
