The founder is a comedy film and the directorial debut of Eric Dean Hordes . The work had its world premiere on December 21, 2012 as the “end of the world premiere” in the Babylon cinema in Berlin . The film is being released on DVD by Turbine Media Group.

action

One night the porn producer Gerhard Hornbacher discovers the Antorian Torok on his roof, who landed there with his flying saucer . Hornbacher is able to overwhelm the alien and gains power over its beam and shape-shifting technology, from which he hopes for enormous wealth. But instead of using the omnipotence of extraterrestrial devices directly, Hornbacher chose a more complex path. As the "founder", he and his porn team open the spiritual television station Kanal Teleportal. The founder takes the end of the world prophesied by the Mayan calendar for the year 2012 as an opportunity to grant 144,000 people refuge on the planet Antoria for a fee. The founder receives support from the porn actress Angella Atoma, who now pretends to be God's mouthpiece Guriella. Kanal Teleportal turns out to be a big loss for Hornbacher. This leads him to use the shape shifter and thus to abuse the face of God as a collector of money. Finally the cash register rings and Hornbacher sees himself as a multimillionaire in Thailand, were it not for Plan 9 of the Antorians.

background

In June 2008, Hordes visited the television channel Telemedial together with the singer Jennah Karthes during a live broadcast. Out of enthusiasm, he wrote a script for a trash film over two days and then shot it.

The film not only satirizes Hornauer, but also caricatures the sect leader Uriella and other television formats such as Astro TV . Effects that are reminiscent of the science fiction B-movies of the 1950s are used as stylistic devices .

One of these effects is the complete dubbing in post-production , with some actors being dubbed by voice actors such as Wolfgang Völz , Marianne Groß or Eberhard Prüter .

The actor Ingo Fresisen worked as a presenter and musician in the TV programs of Telemedial. He parodies himself in the film as Ingo Ingold.

The travesty artist Ades Zabel parodies the BILD editor Tina Gaedt as gossip reporter Gina Gaydt , who always reports up-to-date on Hornauer's escapades.

Actor Helmut Krauss spoke on May 11, 2011 in Bettina Tietjen's program Das! as follows about the founding film: “[...] he made a script out of it about a television man who also exists, but who now no longer has a channel. Channel Telemedial used to be called. "

Telemedial litigation

Due to Thomas Hornauer's fame, the film gained a certain amount of media interest in its creation phase. During his live broadcasts, Hornauer made several negative comments about the film project, suspecting that his telemedia idea was being mocked. Hornauer was granted the right by the Stuttgart Regional Court to view the film twice within two weeks before its cinema premiere and to object to positions that violate his person's honor. After the first appointment, Hornauer informed Hordes by email that his person could not be recognized and that he saw further steps as "a waste of time and money". The film was then released.
