Jennah Karthes de Branicka (born April 13, 1982 in Hagen ) is a German pop singer and actress . She has also acted as a presenter .

Career

Jennah Karthes was discovered by Olaf Malolepski in the late 1990s after appearing as Heintje imitator on the Rudi Carrell Show and known for her relationship with the pop singer Christian Anders . Together with Anders, she recorded several singing titles, including the duets The day on which the earth stood still and The girl from Bahnhof Zoo .

In 2001 Karthes de Branicka was elected to the Miss Berlin Film Festival.

From 2001 to 2003, Karthes de Branicka hosted the program Neun Live: Reiseclub and the weekly do- it-yourself quiz show for the 9Live channel . Several joint television appearances with Christian Anders followed, for example at point 12 . Excerpts from her media appearances were often shown on TV Total .

Separated from Anders for a long time, Karthes traveled to Dubai , where she wanted to prove within three weeks that she was the first German singing Arabic to gain a foothold in the music business. This was accompanied by Sat1 for several television programs.

In June 2008, Karthes and the director Eric Dean Hordes visited the television broadcaster Kanal Telemedial during a live broadcast in order to get to know the controversial television entrepreneur Thomas Hornauer and to research him. After the research, Hordes produced the film The Founder, which is freely based on the Telemedial channel . Karthes contributed the title song to the film soundtrack.

In September 2013 she took part in the program Shopping Queen in Baden-Baden . In 2015, Karthes de Branicka stood in front of the camera as Christel von der Post next to Helmut Krauss in the film Goblin - That's Real Troll .

In July 2020, Karthes released the common hit song My Schoko-Kaffee together with the pop singers Tony Marshall and Tom Erbrecht . Based on the hit, an Arabic-English promotional song for the Egyptian coffee bean brand Mom's Choco Cafe was decoupled and staged as a TV commercial by director Eric Dean Hordes. In the commercial, which was broadcast on television in Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon, alongside Karthes, Marshall and Brecht, Misses World Germany 2014, Daniela Reimchen , and the actor George Liratsis also appear.
