The rascals
The Rasselbande (original title: La Ribambelle ) is a Franco-Belgian comic series first published in 1958 .
action
The rascals consist of Phil, Conny, the Scottish nobleman Archibald, the jazz trumpeter Dixie and the Japanese twins Ping and Pong. They have their headquarters in a rusting bus on an undeveloped inner-city property, which is secured against unauthorized entry by various traps. The enemies of the rascals are the caimans, a three-headed gang of thugs, and the unsympathetic millionaire Hasse Greed. In Butler James, however, they have a helpful advocate by their side.
background
Based on an idea by André Franquin , Marcel Denis wrote the four-page short story Opération ciseaux , which Jo-El Azara drew and which was published in Spirou in 1958 . In 1962, Jean Roba took over the basic concept and developed the actual series from it. As he was also responsible for Boule & Bill at the same time , he soon enlisted the help of copywriters Vicq , Yvan Delporte and Maurice Tillieux . After a break of 35 years, Zidrou wrote new stories that Jean-Marc Krings translated into drawings.
Dupuis began issuing albums in 1965. With the 2001 Complete Edition, Dargaud took on this role. The series debuted in German-speaking countries with Rolf Kauka , who initially released it under the title Die Sechs in Fix and Foxi and then partially re-released it in Fix and Foxi Album , Fix and Foxi Fun and Fix and Foxi Extra . The independent series of albums came from comicplus + .
