Dirk Else (born August 27, 1977 in Erlabrunn ) is a former German ski jumper .

Career

Else made his debut in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup in March 1995 . He won this in the 1999/00 season . On January 1, 2000, he made his debut in the World Cup in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . He jumped to 39th place. On January 4th, 2002 he won his first World Cup points with 19th place in Innsbruck . He also scored points in the following jumping competitions and ended the 2001/02 season in 50th place in the overall World Cup ranking. In the following season he only started in a few World Cup competitions. However, after he remained unsuccessful in the Continental Cup, he ended his active ski jumping career in 2003.

The personal best of Dirk Else is 205 meters, achieved in a training event for the Ski Jumping World Cup on March 17th, 2000 on the ski jumping hill in Planica ( Slovenia ).
