Djelaludin "Djelal" Sharityar (born March 15, 1983 in Zadran ) is an Afghan football player who also has German citizenship . The trained real estate agent bears the nickname Toto in reference to the Italian striker Salvatore "Totò" Schillaci because of his first name, which is difficult for Europeans to pronounce . The defensive all-rounder is considered a strong duel player.

Career

Club career

He started playing soccer in Germany in 1990 as a striker in the youth team of FC Öhningen on Lake Constance. His footballing talent was discovered by VfL Wolfsburg , in whose youth boarding school he stayed until the A-youth.

Professional in Switzerland and Germany

He then played for some time at the Swiss third division club FC Kreuzlingen . After holding positions at FC Singen and FC Konstanz-Wollmatingen, he joined the upper division FC Emmendingen in 2006 . At the end of the season, the club was relegated to the association league. Sharityar became the 2007/08 season after a one-week trial of the Bavarian League playing Weiden SpVgg committed. From January 2009 Sharityar played for 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 .

Wandering years

In June 2009 he moved to APEP Kyperounda in the first division of Cyprus. Sharityar dissolved the contract with Apep Kyperounda by mutual agreement after one season and moved to Ethnikos Achnas on a free transfer .

In July 2012, Sharityar became the first Afghan, with a professional contract until 2013, to move to the Premier League in Bahrain to Hidd SCC .

In January 2014 he terminated his contract with Al-Hidd and then switched to his former club 1. FC Schweinfurt 05.

In the 2015/16 season Sharityar moved back to the Premier League in Bahrain to the top club Manama Club . There he also played in the GCC Champions League, the club cup for the six Arab members of the Gulf Cooperation Council. His contract expired on July 1, 2016.

On February 1, 2017, Mumbai FC announced their commitment. Before that he was without a club for half a year. After the season he left the club with an unknown destination.

National team

Sharityar made his debut for the Afghan national soccer team on October 8, 2007 in the World Cup qualifier against Syria . Sharityar played for over 90 minutes, the game ended 0: 3 from an Afghan perspective. In August 2014 he was nominated for the Afghan U-23 national team as one of three over-23 players that will play at the Asian Games from September 19 to October 4 . After his club's veto prevented a nomination for the 2015 South Asian Cup , he resigned from the national team because of problems with the Afghan Football Association. He completed at least 38 international matches and was also the captain before the South Asian Cup.

Private

Sharityar came with his three brothers and his mother at the age of seven from Afghanistan to Germany, where his father had been since 1986.

His brother Mohammed Sharityar, called "Mudi", studied medicine in Tübingen and played a. a. from 2003 to 2006 at FC Konstanz and played 64 games. He ended his career at TuS Metzingen before the start of the 2011/12 season due to persistent injuries.
