background

Don't You Worry Child was first announced on the Swedish House Mafia tour in Australia in spring 2012 . The single made its live debut in front of 65,000 viewers at the Milton Keynes Bowl concert. It was also first played on the radio on Pete Tong's Radio One Show on August 10th . On their Twitter page they wrote:

“Today we want to inform you that this tour will continue, but will also be our last. We want to thank each and every one of you who have been with us on this trip. We came, we raved, we loved. "

When they announced that another farewell single would be released, everyone knew: It would be Don't You Worry Child .

Music video

The official music video was uploaded from the official Vevo channel of the Swedish House Mafia on September 10, 2012 . It starts with a helicopter that flies the trio for their final gig in the UK. This is followed by a recording of a television screen announcing the separation of the trio. Then the helicopter scene follows again and they get out. An announcement will be made and the three DJs will appear in the Milton Keynes "Bowl". As the instrumental parts begin, the audience begins to cheer and the lights begin to flicker. When John Martin begins to sing the second verse, the lights are turned off and only two spotlights bring light into the dark, misty room. In the fog you can see him singing the rest of the verse and more excerpts from performances of her Swedish House Mafia tour and the audience are shown. Right before the topic began, Axwell says they had never seen such amazing pictures and wanted to make it the best show of their lives. The change of scenes accelerates and at the start of the beat the hall literally begins to explode. Everyone leaps up and the lights begin to play. Fire shoots out of the earth in front of the stage, fireworks are launched and the trio embraces. You thank and say goodbye to the audience.

reception

I Love Radio thought the single was outstanding and wrote:

"The new single sounds not only emotionally like goodbye, but also like the big hit Save the World and is sung by the same singer, John Martin."

Karl Ulbrich from Lost in the South was also enthusiastic about the vocals:

“The vocals are nothing short of spectacular - but I mean, come on, it's John Martin! He sang Save the World ! The production on this track has been boosted with a mighty progressive house drop which confirms that all listeners will jump in the air and swing their arms to the beat. "
