Don Omar (* 10. February 1978 in Carolina , Puerto Rico ; actually William Omar Landron ) is a Puerto Rican reggaeton - musicians and actors .
Career
Don Omar initially appeared in changing groups until he was discovered by Héctor of the duo Héctor y Tito . Héctor helped him to a record deal.
He is known for his tracks Dile and Dale Don Dale (feat. Glory ) from his first album The Last Don , which sold over 60,000 times. Don Omar had another huge hit with the album The Last Don Live . In 2005 he was also heard as a guest musician on the album of the band Aventura . The album Los Bandoleros followed , including with Tego Calderón . He was also represented with two titles on the official soundtrack for The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift with the songs Bandoleros (Los Bandoleros) and Conteo (King of Kings) . In 2009 he came out with his single "Virtual Diva". The reggaeton star was made by the director of the film Fast & Furious - New Model. Original parts. invited to play a film role which he accepted. He continues this role in the following part Fast & Furious Five .
The album King of Kings was released in 2006 and has had the biggest record sales among his albums to date. In 2008 King of Kings: Armageddon Edition was released , which includes four other titles, and King of Kings - Live , of which a CD and a DVD are available. He celebrated great musical events with the duo Wisin y Yandel .
In 2007 he founded his own label under the name "Orfanato Music Group", which specializes in Latin American music such as reggaeton, Latin hip-hop and bachata and is intended to offer young performers of these styles a platform. With Natti Natasha he recorded the song Dutty Love , which was released as a single in 2012 and is also featured on his album Don Omar Presents: Meet the Orphans 2: New Generation .
For the film Fast & Furious Five , his title Danza Kuduro , released in 2010 and recorded together with Lucenzo , was used.
His title Virtual Diva, published in 2009, was used for the game Grand Theft Auto IV .
