The Schönbeck Church is a sacred building in Schönbeck , a municipality in the Mecklenburg Lake District . The parish of Kublank -Schönbeck belongs to the parish of Stargard , Propstei Neustrelitz, in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany .

East window

The stone block construction from the second half of the 13th century was previously without a tower. In the 15th century against which was ship retracted rectangular tower with internal dimensions of 3.3 m × 5.8 m and a wall thickness of 1.5 m from field stone blocks up on the eaves and a square truss stem with walled grooved compartments vorgebaut west which is covered with a tent roof made of bricks. In the tower there is a wooden staircase to the belfry and to the church floor. The bell cage can also be reached through a granite portal on the south side via a staircase with a rising cap made of field stones vaulted on formwork and located in the south tower wall.

The interior of the ship is 20.4 × 9.2 m, laid out on three rectangular vaulted fields of 6.8 by 9.2 m, has a wall thickness of 1.10 m and is 8 m high. The ship has a straight wooden beam ceiling and a gable roof . There are no windows on the north wall. There are several window niches on the south wall . The originally pointed-arched slit windows were replaced by round-arched ones. On the east side there are three pointed arched slit windows, the middle one being very elevated. The sacristy is built back 3 m from the east wall on the north side, 4 × 9 m on the outside and consists of two separate rooms.

Furnishing

The altar has a neo-Gothic back wall with a painting of Christ in Gethsemane . The pulpit is on the north wall and is a work of the Renaissance on a modern stand. The manor stalls are no longer available.

The organ , which is located on the gallery of the west wall, is a pneumatic organ with mechanical action , a manual and eight stops in the following disposition:

It was given to the Protestant parish in 1910 by the company W. Sauer . Organ builder Wilhelm Sauer was born in Schönbeck; the organ with the designation year of construction: 1910, Opus 1097 in the church of Schönbeck was the last instrument that was built under his company management. In 1951 the instrument was rearranged by Barnim Grüneberg junior from Greifswald , and in 2005 it was renovated again by W. Sauer Orgelbau .

The wooden yoke of the preserved bronze bell (originally there were two) was replaced by a ball-bearing steel yoke in the 1970s due to the stiffness. For this purpose the bell was pierced several times for the suspension and thus suffered a loss of its sound.
