Dorothee Roth

Dorothee Roth (born July 19, 1955 in Stuttgart ) is a German speaker, language trainer and actress . She speaks the station announcements of numerous public transport companies in southern Germany.

Life

Roth grew up in Marbach am Neckar and studied speech training at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart .

During her studies she worked part-time as a tour guide for the Stuttgart trams (SSB), whereupon she spoke the stop announcements for the trams for the first time in 1979. Later she received further orders for the greater Karlsruhe , Freiburg im Breisgau , Mannheim / Ludwigshafen am Rhein , Hanau and Wiesbaden areas as well as for the cities of Esslingen am Neckar and Bruchsal and for the White Fleet on Lake Constance.

She has appeared as a television announcer on ARD for eleven years since she was a student . Dorothee Roth also completed an acting training and played in Esslingen, Lübeck , Nuremberg and Bruchsal. Roth has been working for Swiss television since 1994 in language training and as a news anchor .

She is married, mother of three and now lives in Zurich .
