Duo nirvana

Under the name Nirwana (not to be confused with the American grunge band Nirvana ), a German music duo has been performing mainly in the field of popular hits since 2000 . The duo previously called themselves Je t'aime . The duo consists of the couple Bettina (born June 8, 1960 in Villingen-Schwenningen ) and Michael Peter Obst (born February 27, 1958 in Villingen-Schwenningen).

Nirvana's repertoire includes hits, folk music , instrumental titles, oldies and evergreens from all parts of the world. They usually write their songs themselves or together with Dietmar Ganshofer, the lead singer of the Paldauer .

The duo Nirwana brought some Indians onto the stage as background drummers and dancers and thus performed at the Grand Prix of Folk Music 2000 . Her title Fly Away Eagle Boy with the Wind achieved 7th place. At the 2001 Grand Prix of Folk Music , her title Freedom for the World did not reach the final. The same happened to them in 2004 with the song Where the wind carries us .

The duo toured Canada in the mid-1990s and has occasionally been seen at popular events ever since. Today the duo lives and works in Tyrol .
