Edeltraud Hollay

Edeltraud Hollay (born March 17, 1946 in Ravensburg ) is a Baden-Württemberg politician of the SPD . At the end of the 13th electoral term from October 18, 2005 to February 22, 2006, she was the successor to Ulrich Maurer ( WASG ) as a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg .

education and profession

After completing secondary school at the commercial college in Ravensburg, Edeltraud Hollay first worked as a secretary . She then trained to become a domestic electrical consultant and later a technical teacher. She worked in the school service and at the consumer advice center Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart . At Leonberger Bausparkasse she was then responsible for editing the customer and employee magazines. Since 1991 she has been working as a freelance journalist.

Political activity

Edeltraud Hollay has been a member of the SPD since 1979. From 1982 to 1985 she was a member of the Stuttgart district board and from 1992 to 1997 a district adviser. She was a member of the municipal council of the state capital Stuttgart from 1989 to 2004; from 1996 she was deputy chairwoman of the SPD parliamentary group. She has been a member of the regional assembly of the Stuttgart Region Association since 2004. At the end of the 13th electoral term, from October 18, 2005 until the last session on February 22, 2006, she was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg, succeeding Ulrich Maurer (WASG) who gave up his state parliament mandate because he had been elected to the Bundestag.

Edeltraud Hollay is a Roman Catholic . She is married and has no children.
