history

The oldest known written mention of acorn saxons was in 1187 under the name Eiglessahscen .

In the Middle Ages, Eichelsachsen was part of the Burkhard court . In the 16th century there were three mills and a chapel . Since the place became Oberforstamt, a forestry office was established in 1735. In 1722/1723 Landgrave Ernst Ludwig Hessen-Darmstadt had the Zwiefalten hunting lodge built. In the same year the Protestant church was built.

The statistical-topographical-historical description of the Grand Duchy of Hesse reports on Eichelsachsen in 1830:

"Eichelsachsen (L. Bez. Schotten) evangel. Branch village; is located in Vogelsberg on the Nidda, 2 St. from Schotten, and is the seat of the forest inspector. One finds, including Zwiefalten and a brickworks, 134 houses and 685 Protestant residents. - The place had a chapel in the 14th century, which belonged to Herchenhain. "

On 1 December 1970 Acorn Saxony was in the course of administrative reform in Hesse on a voluntary basis in the city of Scots integrated .

Territorial history and administration

The following list gives an overview of the territories in which Eichelsachsen was located and the administrative units to which it was subordinate:

Courts since 1803

In the Landgraviate of Hesse-Darmstadt , the judicial system was reorganized in an executive order of December 9, 1803. The “Hofgericht Gießen” was set up as a court of second instance for the province of Upper Hesse . The jurisdiction of the first instance was carried out by the offices or landlords and thus the Lißberg office was responsible for Eichelsachsen. The court court was the second instance court for normal civil disputes, and the first instance for civil family law cases and criminal cases. The second instance for the patrimonial courts were the civil law firms. The superior court of appeal in Darmstadt was superordinate .

With the founding of the Grand Duchy of Hesse in 1806, this function was retained, while the tasks of the first instance 1821–1822 were transferred to the newly created regional and city courts as part of the separation of jurisdiction and administration. Eichelsachsen a lot in the judicial district of the " Landgericht Schotten ".

On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act with effect from October 1, 1879, as a result of which the previous grand-ducal Hessian regional courts were replaced by local courts at the same location, while the newly created regional courts now functioned as higher courts, the name was changed to "Amtsgericht Schotten" and the district was allocated of the regional court of Giessen .

With effect from July 1, 1968, the local court of Schotten was dissolved and Eichelsachsen came to the jurisdiction of the local court of Nidda . On January 1, 2012, the district court of Nidda was also dissolved in accordance with the resolution of the Hessian state parliament and Eichelsachsen was assigned to the district court of Büdingen . The superordinate instances are now, the regional court Gießen , the higher regional court Frankfurt am Main and the federal court as last instance.
