action

The story takes place in Amsterdam girl dealer circles. Numerous pretty girls from all over Europe come to the Dutch capital because they are hoping for a career as a dancer in this libertine metropolis. But Jan Fabrizius, owner of an ominous Amsterdam nightspot, has completely different things in mind with the girls who want to perform in his shed. Above all, pretty blondes like the very young Uschi Berger are in great demand in Latin America and, with his help, are shipped to Havana by the villainous girl dealer van Laan against their will, where they are supposed to buy in a brothel. The suicide of one of these kidnapped girls turns Fabrizius and van Laan against each other.

From now on, the fight is tough, and suddenly van Laan's daughter is on her way to the Cuban capital. But Interpol has long since taken the trail of the girl traffickers. Commissioner Martin Stelling wants to dig out the dealer ring and arrest the unscrupulous gangsters. At his side is the reporter Verena Linkmann, who suspects a hot newspaper story behind this story. She disguises herself as a dancer and also puts herself in the hands of the criminals in order to find the route and the destination. Stelling and Verena fall in love during their cooperation. When Verena ends up in the brothel in Havana, she is in great danger. At the last moment, Stelling intervenes and, like Irene, can save his new love from the villains.

Ludwig Spitaler was the production manager, Otto Reinwald was the production manager . Max Seefelder designed the film structures.

Reviews

“A low-level moral film set between Amsterdam (nightspot) and Cuba (brothel), which wanted to revive the cinema business with girl dealers and gullible dancers. The FSK only released the film with editing conditions. "

Paimann's film lists summed up: “A story that is declared primitively lurid by the image opening credits, for which serious actors tried and ennobled directing gimmicks. Some Amsterdam exterior recordings, (jazz) background music, clean picture and sound reproduction. "
