He belongs to me is a hit written in 1975 by Joachim Heider and Christian Heilburg . In the version sung by Marianne Rosenberg , the song was in the German charts for twenty weeks in 1975 and reached seventh place. In the German preliminary decision Ein Lied für Stockholm of the Eurovision Song Contest 1975 she reached tenth place. An English version entitled How can I go now? was produced on the same instrumental playback, a later English version called He Belongs to Me was recorded by the German singer Sin with Sebastian in a duet with Marianne Rosenberg in 1995. In 2004/2005, He Belongs to Me entered the German charts again for eight weeks and reached 77th place.
Remake
In 1988 a remake was released, making Marianne Rosenberg a star of the gay movement . In an interview with the daily newspaper Die Welt , she said:
“My songs were often about men you can't get. And seen politically: in 1973 gay men lived out their longings only as an exception. When I was 16 my producer had to tell me about it. He's tested my unpublished pieces in discos, including gay clubs. He discovered the phenomenon and produced the music based on it. "
Cover versions

The Bläck Fööss mentioned it in their song Stippeföttche . It appeared in the soundtracks of the films Manta - The Film and Summer in Front of the Balcony and was used as the theme song for the television series Help, my family is crazy .
