Jeanette Biedermann (* 22. February 1980 in Bernau bei Berlin as Jean Biedermann ) is a German pop singer , actress and voice actress .

life and career

At the age of six, Jeanette Biedermann performed as an acrobat in the GDR in the Lilliput children's circus . Her parents Marion and Bernd Biedermann († 2016) fled with her to the West via the German Embassy in Prague in autumn 1989 . After completing secondary school , she began an apprenticeship as a hairdresser with Udo Walz , which she broke off after being elected “ Bild- Schllagerkönigin 1998” at a casting . The following year she took part in the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest and came fourth with the song Das tut eheimlich wehlich .

From June 1999 to March 2004 she played as Marie Balzer on RTL in the soap opera Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten . Parallel to her acting career, she released her first album Enjoy in November 2000 . This was followed by the albums Delicious (2001), Rock My Life (2002), Break On Through (2003) and the Christmas album Merry Christmas (2004). While the first two albums can be assigned to teen pop , the next two albums contain more rocky tracks.

The end of 2004, she played in the Sat.1 - TV movie Love without Rückfahrschein the dance teacher Julia Behrendt. As an actress, she also took on various dubbing roles , including in the 2006 animated film Ab durch die Hecke . In addition, she was a jury member in the Sat.1 casting show Star Search in 2003 and 2004 . In 2005 she received an echo in the category Best Video national for Run with Me .

In April 2006 the album Naked Truth was released, for which Biedermann wrote almost all the pieces himself. Naked Truth made it to number 14 in the German charts, but it could not match the success of the previous albums. In the summer of 2006, the single Heat of the Summer was released, which reached the top 50 of the charts. The DVD Naked Truth Live at Bad Girls Club was able to position itself in the hit lists of the music DVDs in second place.

In 2006, Biedermann was a jury member for the ProSieben show Stars on Ice from October 25 to November 29 . In January 2007 she played a leading role as a rock singer in the Radio Bremen - Tatort episode Schwelbrand . From August 25, 2008 she was the leading actress in the Sat.1 telenovela Anna und die Liebe . Because of the planned Solitary Rose Tour , she got out there on March 2, 2010.

In 2009 the album Undress to the Beat was released, which reached number 13 in the German charts. The first single of the same name was released in February, ranked sixth in Germany and 20th in Austria . In Switzerland , the single reached the top 50. The second release, Material Boy (Don't Look Back), was released as a limited single in May 2009. It was able to stay in the top 50 in Germany for five weeks. The last single from the album, Solitary Rose, made it into the top 15 in Germany and Austria and reached the top 50 in Switzerland. The song was advertised by her as part of the television series Anna and Love .

From autumn 2010 to January 2012 Biedermann was seen again in Anna und die Liebe (third and fourth seasons) and in October 2011 in the ProSieben history thriller Isenhart - The Hunt for the Soul Catcher . In January 2012 she founded the band Ewig with the guitarist Jörg Weißelberg , whom she married on July 7th, 2012 in his hometown Löbau , and the bassist Christian Bömkes , whose first single One Step Further was released in August 2012. In September 2014 she released the AC / DC classic You Shook Me All Night Long in a duet with Andreas Gabalier for a special edition of his album Home Sweet Home .

In 2019 the band Ewig broke up, and Biedermann devoted himself again to solo music. In April 2019, the single was released like an open book . Here she sings again exclusively in German. In 2019 she took part in the sixth season of Sing mein Song - Das Tauschkonzert . There she also presented her second single, Your Stories . With the song, she came to terms with the death of her father two years earlier. In May 2019, the album was released for the show, on which she is represented with six songs.

The album DNA was released in September 2019 as a CD and a limited fan book with new editions of various English songs. In spring 2020, Biedermann toured Germany, Austria and Switzerland. She lives in Berlin.

Since autumn 2013 Biedermann has also been active as a theater actress, her stage debut as a lover in a production of Jedermann received friendly reviews. Biedermann has been volunteering for the German Red Cross since 2000 . As part of the “Las Luces” project in Peru , she is committed to a better future for street children . From 2000 to 2003 she was a JRK ambassador and since 2003 she has been a DRK ambassador. In August 2011 she received the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for her commitment .

From 2011 to 2012, Biedermann worked as a designer for the Jeans Fritz fashion company , for which she developed her own collection.
