Ernst von Bernuth (lawyer, 1779)

Ernst Friedrich Heinrich August von Bernuth (born September 4, 1779 in Hamm ; † February 3, 1847 there ) was a German lawyer.

Life

Ernst von Bernuth was the son of Jakob Christian von Bernuth , war and tax councilor at the War and Domain Chamber in Hamm and his wife Clara Gerstmann (1747-1818), a daughter of the general practitioner Barthold Florian Gerstmann. His siblings were:

He attended high school in Hammonense and received his Abitur at Easter 1798 . In October 1798 he began to study law in Erlangen . In 1807 he was director of justice in Münster and from 1815 to 1839 he also worked there as city and regional court director. In 1839 he was a senior judge at the Hamm Higher Regional Court .

Ernst von Bernuth was married to Louise Henriette von Bernuth (1787–1813), a daughter of Friedrich von Bernuth (1757–1832), who was government president in Arnsberg from 1816 to 1825 .
