Erwin Jan Feuchtmann Pérez (born May 2, 1990 in Punta Arenas , Chile ) is a Chilean-German handball player .

Career

society

1.95 meters tall and 95 kilograms heavy Erwin "Pepin" Feuchtmann was under contract with HC Aschersleben until the beginning of 2013 . He then moved to the Romanian league to SZKC Ordohei, with whom he plays in the EHF Challenge Cup 2013/14. Before that he played at HCE Plauen and HSG Hohn / Elsdorf . In the summer of 2014 he moved to the Turkish master Beşiktaş Istanbul . Feuchtmann was under contract with the German Bundesliga club TBV Lemgo in the 2015/16 season before he was signed by SG Handball West Vienna for the Handball League Austria in 2016 . In April 2017 he signed a two-year contract with German Bundesliga club VfL Gummersbach for the coming season . In the summer of 2018 Feuchtmann left VfL Gummersbach prematurely and joined the French first division club Istres Provence Handball . A year later he joined the Spanish first division club Ademar León .

National team

Feuchtmann is the Chilean national player and was in the squad for the 2011 , 2013 , 2017 and 2019 World Championships .

In the 2019 handball world championship held in Germany and Denmark, Feuchtmann was the best Chilean goalscorer in three preliminary round games. Once again he shared this result with Salinas. In the subsequent placement round for the President's Cup, he again threw the most goals for Chile in the games against Qatar and Macedonia. In the Lanxess Arena , which had over 13,000 spectators , it was celebrated loudly with shouts of "Erwin, Erwin!".

Private

Erwin Feuchtmann's grandfather emigrated from Mannheim to Chile in the 1930s . Erwin Feuchtmann Pérez 'brothers Emil and Harald and his sister Inga also play handball and are part of the national team.
