Eugène Antoine Vast (born July 4, 1835 in Fontaine-la-Soret (today: Nassandres sur Risle ), † February 21, 1911 in Paris ) was a French organist and composer.

From the age of nine, Vast had been studying piano with Alexandre-Pierre-François Boëly and organ with Félix Danjou at the Maîtrise of Notre Dame de Paris . He then attended the organ class of François Benoist at the Conservatoire de Paris and in 1854 won the Second Second Grand Prix de Rome with the cantata Francesca da Rimini .

On the mediation of his teacher Boëly, he had the opportunity to play the Clicquot - Dallery organ in the parish church of Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois since 1840 . In 1851 he followed Boëly as organist on this organ; he held the position for almost 60 years until 1909.

Of Vast's compositions, an Andante religioso for harp, violin and violoncello, which is often played at wedding celebrations, has survived.
