In 1960 he returned to Stuttgart, where he passed the art teacher examination in the spring of 1961. In the winter of 1961 he resumed his graphic studies in Berlin, while at the same time studying German at the Free University of Berlin . In 1964 he passed the German minor exam .

Weigle began his educational career in 1966 as a trainee lawyer in Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen at the Freiherr-vom-Stein-Schule . In 1968 he became an assessor in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe . A little later, as FW Bernstein, together with Robert Gernhardt and FK Waechter , he initiated the double-page Welt im Spiegel ( WimS ), an independent newspaper for a cleaner world , which until its termination in 1976 was mainly supported by contributions from these authors.

FW Bernstein founded the New Frankfurt School together with Robert Gernhardt, Eckhard Henscheid , FK Waechter , Chlodwig Poth , Bernd Eilert , Peter Knorr and Hans Traxler , the publication organ of which became the satirical magazine Titanic from 1979 .

Weigle was also active as a teacher at seminars of the Kassel Caricatura or in the "Drawing School on the Eider" in Rendsburg, which he founded in 1990.
