reception

For Nina Rehfeld from the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung , For All Mankind is “superficially a somewhat clumsy political thriller about the race between Americans and Soviets in space”. While the Americans "stare depressed at their now useless moon plaque", "the Soviets would reclaim the moon for the Marxist-Leninist way of life". It is more differentiated when it comes to the matter “when the series draws a moral picture of the late sixties and early seventies with a view to relationships”.

The first season of the series was able to convince 73 percent of the critics at Rotten Tomatoes (as of January 24, 2020).
