The Frankfurter Autor Theater (FAT) is a stage in Frankfurt am Main . The venue is located in the Brotfabrik cultural center in the Hausen district . The theater has specialized in presenting the works of (also unknown) Frankfurt authors to a larger audience. In this context, the FRANKFURTER AUTOREN MARKT call for tenders takes place every year. Texts such as finished plays, short stories or unfinished monologues can be submitted there. The 1st place is endowed with 500, - € and is staged by the FAT in autumn of the respective year. The 2nd and 3rd place are read staged in the FAT.

Adrian Scherschel and Michaela Conrad have directed the theater since 2014.

A special feature of the theater is the fact that after each performance there is bread and wine for the audience. Linked to this is the conversation with the actors and those who directed it, or with the author. The aim is to create a special proximity to the performing arts.
