Franz Wanderer (born February 20, 1901 in Ilmenau , † 1944 ) was a German marathon runner .

Services

  • June 17, 1928: Fifth in 2:39:00 h in the German qualifying race for the Olympic Games on an allegedly 40 km long track. Four weeks later he won the DM in Düsseldorf with his personal best of 2:48:57 h. He gave up at the Olympic marathon in Amsterdam .
  • 1929: he defended his title in 3:07:16 h. in Wroclaw
  • A second place followed in 1930 and a third place in 1931 .
