Franziska Knuppe (born December 7, 1974 in Rostock ) is a German model , presenter and occasional actress .

Life

The daughter of a Potsdam pediatrician was born on December 7, 1974 in Rostock. Knuppe grew up with a brother in Potsdam. After graduating from high school, she moved to Munich in 1993 and trained as a hotel manager at the Hotel Park Hilton until 1996. Then she moved back to Potsdam to study business administration . In 1997 she was discovered by the German fashion designer Wolfgang Joop in a Potsdam café.

She has been married since 1999 and has had a daughter since 2007.

Career

Since her discovery, she has worked with agencies in Paris , New York , London and Milan . Your mother agency is Model Management in Hamburg . Since then, she has been the face of the Schwarzkopf , Riani, Pantene , Braun , Jette Joop , Peek & Cloppenburg , Basler , Samsung , Joop , Triumph , Oasis and Reebok campaigns . Franziska Knuppe is a brand ambassador for Mercedes-Benz, AIDA Cruises , Avène and Bonita .

It was printed on the cover pages of GQ Deutschland, Madame, Elle , Vogue , Petra , Cosmopolitan , Marie Claire and Brigitte . In 2015 she was photographed by Ellen von Unwerth for Stern's "25 Years of German Unity" cover .

She ran shows for Thierry Mugler , Diane von Fürstenberg , Joop, Escada , Roccobarocco, Wunderkind Couture , Jasper Conran, Betty Jackson, Strenesse , Vivienne Westwood , Issey Miyake and was photographed by such as Peter Lindbergh , Karl Lagerfeld , Michel Comte , Manfred Baumann , Ellen von Unwerth and Arthur Elgort photographed.

In addition to her modeling career, Knuppe also appears as a presenter, juror and laudator. In 2008 she presented the “Supermodel” format for the Swiss broadcaster 3+, as well as the “Swiss Textile Award” in Zurich. 2016 she participated in the 151st edition of the ARD - the game show Who knows something? in which she competed alongside team captain Bernhard Hoëcker and earned 5000 euros for the audience.

In 2019, Knuppe was a jury member in the 9th season of the Austrian casting show Austria's Next Topmodel .

In the second season of The Masked Singer on ProSieben , she appeared as a bat . She was unmasked in the second episode on March 17, 2020.
