Friedrich Pfannmüller

Friedrich Pfannmüller (* 1490 in Hirschau , † 1562 in Prague ) was an organ builder active in the Upper Palatinate , Bohemia and Vienna .

Born in Hirschau, he took care of the organs in neighboring Amberg from 1534 , bought a house there and received citizenship in 1549 . He enjoyed an excellent reputation, as evidenced by his wide range of activities between Nuremberg , Prague and Vienna. His three sons were organists : They worked in Amberg (Hans, 1546–1561) and in Eger (Friedrich 1552–1561, Wolfgang 1561–1611).
