Fucking Hell

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fucking Hell is a German light beer with an alcohol content of 4.9%. The brand owner is a Berlin beer publisher that also organizes sales.

Surname

Fucking Hell is named after the Austrian town of Fucking . The beer name, which plays with the terms Hell - the beer from Munich brewing - and "hell", the English word for hell , was originally controversial because both the local incumbents and the European Office for Harmonization in Office (OHIM) rejected it. It was approved by OHIM on March 28, 2010, and the beer has been sold worldwide since then. “Our village of 100 people used to be called Fugging and was completely unknown. But since it was written with ck and this was spread over the Internet, the villagers have been harassed in the most unbearable ways. To take snapshots of the town sign or to ask questions like 'Where do I find the fucking post office?' bus loads of onlookers make a stop here. Because our place-name signs have been stolen over a dozen times, we had to cast them in concrete and weld them. And now this beer too. "

The label depicts an angel created by an artist who is pulling the devil's beard. This motif was registered as a trademark by the same applicants on August 31, 2010 at the OHIM under the number 9343815 and registered on January 11, 2011 without opposition.

history

The trademark and design "FUCKING HELL" were registered with the Office of the European Union in June 2007.

Following a rejection by the responsible examiner, an appeal was lodged against this decision. The Board of Appeal of the European Office for the Registration of Trademarks and Designs found the trademark to be registrable in March 2010.

Without any noteworthy advertising activities by the brand owners, who also operate the corresponding sales company, Fucking Hell GmbH, the brand is known and widespread worldwide.

From 2011 to 2013, Fucking Hell was brewed in the Waldhaus private brewery in Baden . The Hartmannsdorf brewery near Chemnitz took over production in 2013 .
