Fuldabrück is a municipality in the south of the northern Hessian district of Kassel .
geography
location
Fuldabrück is located south to south-south-east of the north Hessian city of Kassel . It is located on the northwest slope of the Söhre , on which parts of the geo-nature park Frau-Holle-Land (Werratal.Meißner.Kaufunger forest) extend into the municipality . The Fulda flows regarded downstream, directly to the districts Dittershausen , because Hausen and Berghausen over; The Rummelsbach, coming from the Dörnhagen district, flows into this Weser source river near Dennhausen .
Neighboring communities
Fuldabrück is surrounded by a total of five neighboring communities: Kassel in the northwest to the north (mostly beyond the Fulda), Lohfelden in the northeast, Söhrewald in the east, Guxhagen in the south and Baunatal in the west (beyond the Fulda).

history
Church building
Fuldabrück emerged from the voluntary amalgamation of the communities Dennhausen and Dittershausen on July 1, 1967. The community representatives at that time chose “Fuldabrück” as the new community name.
On August 1, 1972, as part of the regional reform in Hesse, the municipalities of Bergshausen and Dörnhagen were incorporated into the municipality of Fuldabrück by means of state law, thereby forming the new large municipality of “Fuldabrück”. The municipality had a total population of 5676 in 1972.

The picture, created in 1766, depicts a May celebration by the Landgrave of Hessen-Kassel (May festival at Gut Freienhagen). In the background the Fulda and the church of Bergshausen can be seen.

In the triangle of Fuldabrück-Bergshausen, Kassel-Waldau and Lohfelden is the 80-hectare Freight Transport Center (GVZ) Kassel, the heart of which is a Deutsche Bahn AG transshipment terminal with two train tracks and which is leased by DB Intermodal . Of the total area of the GVZ Kassel, more than two thirds are in the district area of the municipality of Fuldabrück.

Fuldabrück is located on the Autobahn 7 and Bundesautobahn 44 . The federal motorway 44 crosses Fuldabrück by means of the Fuldatalbrücke Bergshausen . To the southeast of Fuldabrück, both motorways meet at the Südkreuz Kassel . The community can be reached via the A-7 junctions Guxhagen and Kassel, but also via the state road 3460 (formerly Bundesstraße 83 ; Kassel – Bergshausen – Dörnhagen), which leads directly past the Bergshausen district and through Dörnhagen.
The high-speed line Hanover – Würzburg leads through the municipality, including the Fuldatalbrücke Fuldabrück ; the closest stop on this route is Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe station .
The following cycle paths lead through the municipality : The Fulda cycle path ( Hessischer Radfernweg R1 ) runs for 260 km from the heights of the Rhön along the Fulda to Bad Karlshafen on the Weser . The D-Route 9 ( Weser-Romantic Road ) leads 1197 km from the North Sea through Bremen, Kassel, Fulda and the Taubertal to Füssen in the Allgäu.
