Fuldabrück is located south to south-south-east of the north Hessian city of Kassel . It is located on the northwest slope of the Söhre , on which parts of the geo-nature park Frau-Holle-Land (Werratal.Meißner.Kaufunger forest) extend into the municipality . The Fulda flows regarded downstream, directly to the districts Dittershausen , because Hausen and Berghausen over; The Rummelsbach, coming from the Dörnhagen district, flows into this Weser source river near Dennhausen .

history

Fuldabrück emerged from the voluntary amalgamation of the communities Dennhausen and Dittershausen on July 1, 1967. The community representatives at that time chose “Fuldabrück” as the new community name.

On August 1, 1972, as part of the regional reform in Hesse, the municipalities of Bergshausen and Dörnhagen were incorporated into the municipality of Fuldabrück by means of state law, thereby forming the new large municipality of “Fuldabrück”. The municipality had a total population of 5676 in 1972.
