Günther Knoblauch (born July 8, 1948 in Mühldorf am Inn ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Career

Knoblauch completed his studies with a degree in administrative management (FH). He worked at the Altötting District Office for 18 years , including as head of the Lower Nature Conservation Authority.

From May 1, 1990 to March 31, 2014 he was mayor of the district town of Mühldorf am Inn. In 2010 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon . Knoblauch has been another deputy district administrator for the district of Mühldorf a. Inn. In the 2013 state elections, he moved up from the list in the Upper Bavaria constituency for Christian Ude , who did not accept his mandate, in the Bavarian state parliament . On July 7, 2014, he was granted honorary citizenship of the city of Mühldorf am Inn and the title of former mayor. After the state elections in 2018 , he left the state parliament.

He is married and has three children.
