The Gauliga Westfalen 1936/37 was the fourth season of the Gauliga Westphalia in football. FC Schalke 04 secured the championship with 14 points ahead of Westfalia Herne . The "Royal Blues" scored over 100 goals for the first time. Schalke qualified for the final round of the German championship , which they won after a 2-0 victory over 1. FC Nürnberg . The relegation ranks were occupied by the Erler SV 08 and the TuS Bochum 08 . SpVgg Röhlinghausen and Arminia Marten rose from the district leagues .
