Georg Ebert (pianist)
Johannes Georg Ebert (born July 15, 1928 in Berlin ; † September 1, 2013 in Vienna ) was a pianist and from 1972 to 1996 professor for piano in concert and chamber music at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
With his siblings Friedrich Wolfgang (1924–2013) on the cello and Käthe Lotte (1926–2013) on the violin , he founded the Ebert Trio , which debuted on March 21, 1949 in the Brahms Hall of the Vienna Musikverein . The last concert was on May 15, 1990 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Then they devoted themselves to educational tasks. Wolfgang and Lotte Ebert also taught as teachers at the Vienna Conservatory .
His final resting place is in the Grinzinger Friedhof (Gr. 29, R. 1, No. 1) in Vienna.
