Georg Lasson

Georg Lasson (born July 13, 1862 in Berlin , † December 2, 1932 in Berlin) was a German Protestant theologian and philosopher.

life and work

Lasson, the son of the philosopher Adolf Lasson , worked after studying Protestant theology and philosophy as an assistant preacher in Potsdam and as a pastor in Friedersdorf near Storkow . From 1902 to 1927 he was pastor at the Bartholomäuskirche in Berlin-Friedrichshain . From 1926 to 1929 he was chairman of the Reich Association for Children's Services and Sunday School .

Lasson published a few individual sermons, but was mainly active in research alongside his pastoral work. After a few publications on systematic theology and recent church history, from 1902 he dealt intensively with philosophy, especially the philosophy of Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel . He published several monographs on philosophical subjects and on the relationship between theology and philosophy and published the first critical edition of Hegel's works.
