Gerd Tacke

Gerd Tacke (born August 20, 1906 in Mittel-Sohra ; † October 23, 1997 in Munich ) was a German economist and manager . From 1968 to 1971 he was CEO of Siemens AG .

Tacke did an apprenticeship as a printer and bookseller and later studied economics , in 1932 he joined the Siemens group. In 1951 he became a deputy and five years later a full member of the management board of the two parent companies Siemens-Schuckertwerke and Siemens & Halske , where he was responsible for the group's international activities. After the founding of Siemens AG, he became its first CEO and was thus responsible for the comprehensive restructuring of the group. After this activity he was a member of the Supervisory Board of Siemens AG from 1972 to 1978 .
