The Glärnischhütte is a mountain hut in the Tödi section of the Swiss Alpine Club SAC in the canton of Glarus in Switzerland .
history
The hut is located south of the Klöntalersee at the west foot of the Glärnisch range at 1990 m above sea level. M. in the Schwyz Alps .
In 1868 the SAC Tödi built a “umbrella hut” (shelter) for eight people below the large rock that protects today's hut from avalanches and falling rocks. Today's hut was created by renovating and expanding the second hut in 1885. Two extensions were made in 1976 and 1987. The space of today's hut is fully used and bedrooms with 22 beds would no longer meet the standards of the Alpine Club.
The SAC Tödi wants to convert the Glärnischhütte in the next two years (as of 2019) to make it more comfortable. The hut, which is more than 100 years old, is to have an extension (with guest rooms, waiting area and sanitary facilities) with a flat roof that can be used as a terrace.

- Luchsingen - Zeinenfurggel - Hut: 5.0 to 7.0 hours (Alpine Route)
- In winter only in safe conditions, due to the risk of avalanches (winter room with space for 20 guests)
