Gulf of Venice

The Gulf of Venice ( Italian : Golfo di Venezia , Slovenian : Beneški zaliv , Croatian : Venecijanski zaljev ) is a bay in the northern part of the Adriatic Sea .

The coastline of the gulf extends from the delta of the Po to Cape Kamenjak in Istria . In addition to the Po, other large rivers such as the Tagliamento , the Piave , the Adige and the Brenta flow into the bay . The Gulf of Trieste is part of the Gulf of Venice. The three European countries Italy , Slovenia and Croatia border the bay .
