Gries im Sellrain is a municipality with 616 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the Innsbruck-Land district of the state of Tyrol ( Austria ). The municipality is located in the judicial district of Innsbruck .
geography
Gries is located in the middle Sellraintal , a side valley of the Inn Valley . The Lüsenstal branches off from Gries, the rear part of which belongs to the municipality of St. Sigmund im Sellrain . In addition, the Zirmbach coming from St. Sigmund flows into the Melach in the village center of Gries .
The municipal area also includes numerous hamlets on the slope ( Obermarendebach, ... ) and the flood-prone valley floor between Muren (Obergries) and Untermarendebach .

Martin Haselwanter was elected mayor. He was the only candidate.
Both lists of village lists Gries and Together for Gries competed for the municipal council election.
