The Gumbles are an Oi! Band from Schwerin , founded in 2000 , which emerged from the Altmarkt Killern founded in 1997. The name of the band goes back to Barney Gumble , a character from the animated series The Simpsons , and refers to his alcohol consumption, which is sung about in many songs.

In their pieces, Gumbles sing about typical skinhead themes such as the so-called “way of life” of skinhead existence and alcohol consumption, but they also have humorous or socially critical texts.

In earlier songs they often used samples from the Simpsons, but did not use them on the album In Tried-and-Trusted Manner . After two label changes - DSS Records brought out the debut and Puke Music All for One - for the label Sunny Bastards , which is based in the Ruhr area , the awareness of the Oi! Band increased considerably and the non-scene press reviewed the new album largely positively. The numerous concerts of the Gumbles brought them together on a stage with bands such as the Cashiers , Troopers , Volxsturm , Lost Boys , Mob & Gesocks , Broilers , Popperklopper , Eastside Boys and many others.
