The HSG Krefeld , full name HSG Krefeld Lower Rhine , is a handball - syndicate from Krefeld . Until 2020 she played under the name HSG Krefeld .
history
The syndicate was founded in 2013 in the season west of the 3rd division playing clubs DJK SV Adler Königshof 1919 and SC Bayer 05 Uerdingen . The aim of the cooperation was to play permanently in the upper table area of the third division. The right to play until the end of the 2019/20 season was with SC Bayer 05 Uerdingen.
HSG Krefeld was the only one of the clubs in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga to not receive a license to play in the 2020/21 season. The second division had not submitted the license application to the licensing commission within the deadline of March 1, 2020.
