Halo Saibold

Halo Saibold , actually Hannelore Saibold (born October 1, 1943 in Bankau , Upper Silesia as Hannelore Kulessa ) is a former politician of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen .

Halo Saibold was a founding member of the green party both in Bavaria and in the federal government. From 1979 to 1982 she was a member of the state board of Bavaria, from 1980 to 1981 a member of the national board. In the 11th electoral term (1987 to 1990) and the 13th electoral term (1994 to 1998) she was a member of the German Bundestag , to which she was elected via the state list of the Bavarian Greens. From 1994 to 1998 she was Chair of the Committee on Tourism and Tourism.

In March 1998, she provoked a violent public reaction with her suggestion that she should travel less by plane on vacation.

In the 1998 Bundestag election , she just missed re-entry into the Bundestag as seventh on the Bavarian state list. The following year she resigned from her party in protest against the Kosovo war .

Saibold is a health advisor by profession. She is widowed and has two grown children.
