Hannelies Taschau (born April 26, 1937 in Hamburg ) is a German writer .

Life

Hannelies Taschau grew up in Swabia and Essen . After early attempts at writing, she was discovered in 1959 by the publisher VO Stomps , who published her first volume of poetry in his “ Hermit Press ”. The author stayed in Paris from 1962 to 1964 . From 1972 to 1974 she worked - together with Uwe Timm , Uwe Friesel and Richard Hey - as editor of the AutorEdition at Bertelsmann- Verlag. She has traveled extensively since the 1970s, including a. to the Soviet Union, Norway and Iceland. Since 1996 she has been a member of the literature commission of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. She lives in Hameln .

Hannelies Taschau's work includes poetry as well as prose , radio plays , plays and scripts . Her topics are the self-discovery and development processes of women as well as the examination of social conditions and the contemporary history of the Federal Republic . Taschau is a member of the PEN Center Germany . She received u. a. the following awards: 1967 the advancement award of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia for literature , 1980 an artist grant from the state of Lower Saxony , 1985 the German short story award of the city of Arnsberg , 1995 the art award of the state of Lower Saxony in the literature section; In 2000/2001 she received a scholarship from the international artist house Villa Concordia in Bamberg .
