Hans-Heini Gasser

Hans-Heini Gasser (born April 6, 1932 ) is a Swiss politician ( CVP ) and civil engineer. He is considered a pioneer of ski jumping hill construction and the compensation calculation for ski jumping .

Life

Hans-Heini Gasser is the son of Hans Gasser (1902–1985) and his wife Hedwig Vogler. He is the father of filmmaker and rock musician Luke Gasser . The doctor of civil engineering ran an engineering office in Lungern .

Gasser was a member of the government of the canton of Obwalden from 1973 to 1986 , where he acted as building director, as had his father Hans Gasser and his uncle Franz Gasser before .

Hans-Heini Gasser is committed to a near-natural Lungerersee .

Ski jumping

Gasser is considered a pioneer of ski jumping hill construction. The standards of modern ski jumping hill construction are based on his calculations. He has developed mathematical models for ski jumping that serve as the basis for the so-called compensation rules (“wind factor” and “gate factor” or “f-value”) of the World Ski Federation FIS . He has been working for the FIS since 1973, where he works in the FIS sub-committee for hill construction .
