Hans Freundt
Hans Freundt (born March 14, 1892 in Hamburg ; † January 28, 1953 there ) was a German actor , radio presenter , radio play director and author .
Life
At the age of 16, Hans Freundt began his acting career in 1908 at the municipal theater of the then still independent municipality of Wandsbek . This was followed by engagements in Bremerhaven , Hamburg, Gera , Düsseldorf and Kiel . In 1924, the general manager Hans Bodenstedt brought him to Nordische Rundfunk AG (NORAG), where he worked as an author, director and speaker. After the seizure of power by the National Socialists , the transmitter 1934 was nationalized and Boyfriend was in the following year because of its so-called " mixed marriage dismissed." In 1939, the Hamburg Thalia Theater gave him shelter. When there was a threat of arrest and deportation to a concentration camp , the couple escaped from the thugs by fleeing to the Lüneburg Heath .
Immediately after the end of the war , he found another job at NWDR Hamburg , the legal successor to Nordische Rundfunk AG. There he soon became head of the children's radio and, a little later, of the Low German department . He has also been involved in dubbing foreign language films since 1945 . In 1948 he celebrated his 40th anniversary as an artist.
From around 1927 he began his career as a radio play director at NORAG, which he continued after 1945 at NWDR Hamburg. But now he mainly staged productions in Low German . As in the prewar period, the main speakers for this genre belonged to the ensemble of the Hamburg Ohnsorg Theater . For example, in the 1950 radio play Swienskomödi by August Hinrichs , which was first broadcast on January 21, 1950, Carl Voscherau , Hilde Sicks , Hans Mahler and Heidi Kabel played the leading roles. In the vernacular radio play De Pott is twei from 1952, one of Albert Mähl (1893-1970) into Low German transmitted version of the comedy The Broken Jug by Heinrich von Kleist , said among other Hartwig Sievers , Hans Mahler, Otto Lüthje and Magda Bäumken the main characters. His High German productions from this time include, among others, Get us 2000 dromedaries - a memory of the great animal master Carl Hagenbeck by Robert Walter . In addition to Carl Voscherau, Erwin Wirschaz and Georg Pahl , the renowned actor Eduard Marks could be heard here.
Freundt died of a heart attack on January 28, 1953. The burial took place on February 3, 1953 in the Ohlsdorf cemetery , grid square Q10-301. His wife Else, b. Chanterelle also found its final resting place there on May 13, 1976.
In the German Stage Yearbook of 1954 you can read the following about him, among other things: His straightforwardness, his inventiveness and his great funk experience had an impact on an almost unmistakable number of programs that were produced under his responsibility. The NWDR loses one of its oldest and most proven employees, who will not be forgotten anytime soon.
