Hans Luz
Hans Luz (born June 10, 1926 in Stuttgart ; † April 9, 2016 in Stuttgart ) was a German garden and landscape architect.
Life
Hans Luz spent his childhood in Stuttgart. Between 1944 and 1947 he graduated from high school , took part in the Second World War as a soldier and was taken prisoner by the French . Back in Germany, he did an apprenticeship as a landscape gardener with Adolf Haag in Stuttgart. From 1953 to 1955 he continued training with garden architect Otto Valentien .
In 1958 he founded the landscape gardening company Luz in Birkach and in 1961 the planning office Luz + Partner, independent landscape architects . Since 1975 he has been a member of the Academy of Arts in Berlin , since 1977 a member of the German Academy for Urban Development and Regional Planning ( DASL ). From 1982 to 1984 he was chairman of the Baden-Württemberg regional group in the Association of German Landscape Architects .
