Otto Tibulsky's older brother played for FC Schalke 04 until January 1933 before moving to Werder Bremen during the economic crisis . The player who came from Schalke's youth attacked the "Knappen", mostly on the right flank but also as a center forward, alongside Ernst Kuzorra and Fritz Szepan . In the 1930 finals of the German soccer championship , he first drew attention to himself. In the two games against Arminia Hannover (6: 2) and 1. FC Nürnberg (2: 6) he scored three goals as a center forward for the West German champions. After that, however, Schalke had to deal with the ruling chamber of the WSV: The DFB and WSV take action against the generally accepted practice of hand money after the end of the 1929/30 season. Schalke 04 is the first (and only) club to be convicted on August 25th. The entire first team, including "Hennes" Tibulsky, were declared professional players and excluded from the new season. Only after finding a mode of how the club can pay its debts will the club's exclusion be reversed. On April 1 and June 1, 1931, all players were pardoned. The first game after the suspension expires on June 1st. Fortuna Düsseldorf has been signed as an opponent - the rival for the West German championship in recent years. Schalke won 1-0 with a goal from Hans Tibulsky; allegedly 70,000 spectators flocked to the Glückauf arena on a working day. As West German champions, Schalke failed in the final round of the German soccer championship 1931/32 only in the semifinals on May 29, 1932 in Dresden with 1: 2 against Eintracht Frankfurt. "Hennes" Tibulsky stormed the right wing in each of the three finals against Plauen, Hamburger SV and Eintracht Frankfurt.

In January 1933, the unemployed attacker joined Werder Bremen, where he found permanent employment. Since Werder had brought other players such as Hugo Scharmann, Robert Mahlstedt, Eduard Hundt , Alex Ziolkewitz , Georg Frank, Karl Mayer , Heinrich Stürmer and Matthias Heidemann to Bremen with the possibility of providing permanent jobs with patrons from the Bremen merchants , Tibulsky experienced successful sporting times with the green-whites. He won the championship in the Lower Saxony Gauliga with Werder in 1933/34 , 1935/36 , 1936/37 and 1941/42 and therefore also took part in the finals of the German soccer championship four more times. From 1934 to 1942 he played 22 finals in the German championship with Werder, scoring four goals. From the attack he moved to the runner row, he mostly played on the Weser as a left wing runner. The man from Schalke played the last finals in May / June 1942 with Werder against SV Hamborn 07 (1: 1 n.V .; 5: 1), Eimsbütteler TV (4: 1) and Kickers Offenbach (3: 4), where he acted as the left wing runner in the World Cup system at the time .

But Tibulsky and SV Werder were also able to convince in the Tschammer Cup . On October 25, 1936, the Bremen team met FC Schalke 04 in front of 25,000 spectators in the Weserstadion. Brother Otto played in the middle position at Blau-Weiß and Szepan and Kuzorra conducted the attack. With a 2-1 lead it went into the break. In the end, the favorite prevailed 5-2. Hans Tibulsky had dealt with Fritz Szepan in most of the duels as a left runner. In 1942 it was only in the semifinals on October 25th for the Bremen team: The men around Hans Tibulsky, Reinhold Munzenberg , Eduard Hundt and Jakob Lotz lost 2-0 at FC Schalke 04. The host was with the dangerous attack with Ernst Kalwitzki , Szepan, Hermann Eppenhoff , Kuzorra and Adolf Urban started and scored the 2-0 in the first half of the game.

Tibulsky was still in action at Werder after the Second World War. In the first season of the North Football League , 1947/48, the senior made eight appearances, including a 4-2 home win against Hannover 96 on January 4 and a 2-1 win on January 11, 1948 -Award defeat at Hamburger SV, and on January 18th in a 4-0 home win against VfB Lübeck.

After his playing career, he worked as a coach in the amateur field, including at Victoria Oldenburg and SV Hemelingen .

Selection appointments

The highlight of his selection appointments was his assignment on September 27, 1931 in Hanover in the international match against Denmark. In front of 30,000 spectators, he made his debut as well as Rudolf Gramlich and Stanislaus Kobierski in a 4-2 success in the national team. Tibulsky formed the German attack on the right wing with Szepan, Kuzorra, Richard Hofmann and Kobierski. The Dresden playmaker and sniper Richard Hofmann scored three hits. For Hans Tibulsky, however, this mission remained in the national team. For West Germany, he was also used in the Federal Cup in 1931/32 ; after moving to Bremen, he was also part of the Lower Saxony selection in this competition.
