Hansaplast is a plaster brand from Beiersdorf AG . The Hansaplast plaster was developed in 1922 through the combination of Leukoplast and a Mulauflage . The plaster should be self-adhesive but easily removable.

Over time, the plaster carriers and the adhesive systems with z. B. hypoallergenic properties have been further developed, so that specialized types such as "Aqua Protect", "Junior", "Universal", "Elastic", "Classic" etc. are now on the market. An antimicrobial treatment of the wound dressing with silver or chlorhexidine can have a beneficial effect on the healing of a wound by reducing the risk of infection .

The brand's design was completely redesigned in early 2008. In addition to a new logo, a new packaging design was also introduced. In 2014, today's logo design was first published in advertisements and on product packaging.

In other countries, the products are sold under the sister brands Elastoplast and Curitas .
