Harald Stark

Harald Stark is castellan of Plassenburg in Kulmbach and author of numerous local history works.

His publications include numerous articles in corresponding subject-specific or regional booklet series, e.g. B. the Rußbuttträger für Marktleuthen , the Steinkreuzforschung , the Weißenstädter Hefte , the narrator from Gabelmannsplatz as a local supplement of the Frankenpost , the archive for the history of Upper Franconia , the Selber Hefte , the Oberpfälzer Heimat , Der Siebenstern vom Fichtelgebirgsverein , Wir am Steinwald , Der Bierstädter für Kulmbach, the Frankenwald magazine from the Frankenwaldverein . The publications range from 1986 to the present day. One of the defining topics is research into the noble family of von Notthracht . His local history research began in his home region around Marktleuthen and Thierstein and increasingly extended to the Upper Franconian area, with transitions to the Upper Palatinate and the Czech Republic and beyond.

In 2018 he was awarded the Fichtelgebirgsverein's culture prize.
